Lunge Matrix

 

The Lunge Matrix was originally developed by physical therapist Gary Gray, to develop strength and flexibility.  We are used to lunging forwards and backwards, but most people don’t utilize the curtsy and the lateral lunge. Using our bodies in every plane of motion is the key to injury prevention and optimum strength. And the curtsy lunge is one of my all time favorite booty builders. If you do all five lunges; reverse, lateral, curtsy, forward lunge and forward lunge with twist you will feel sore in places you never knew existed. It’s such a great dynamic warm up or an even better sequence to add to your leg day.
